I have been dying to get the chance to comment on this ever since you sent me the link. Just now got to computer to comment since my phone won't let me do that so here we go ;w;
This. Is. Absolutely. Gorgeous. Your speedpaints have never failed to astound me with the amount of attention you put into the atmosphere and the overall feel of the piece and all the little elements that go together to form such a beautiful image, and those definitely does not disappoint.
I really really love what you decided to do for this scene, with the whole fiery ruins on the outskirts of a city it seems, it's a really really neat and unique setting and you captured it beautifully.
I absolutely love how you drew little Magnus in there, he looks absolutely amazing and like he's part of the scene itself, not just slapped on there, which is really really neat, kudos to you for being able to do something as awesome as that. I really like how he's there, but doesn't draw away from all the detail and all that is going on around him in the scene, but I also am really liking how the bright orange and reds from the fiery interior of the building give a little emphasis to his presence so he's not lost in the full image. Loving his pose, the way you did his legs and tail, and that smokey/misty mane of his. The wings are absolutely beautiful as well, love the way the light reflects off of them and how they have a slightly transparent, membrane, look.
The whole perspective of this scene is impressive, the angling of the walls are beautiful, and the varying distances of objects and everything really make this look like a snapshot from a movie or something. Love the way you drew the rocks piled in the right foreground, with the poles and wires all sticking out there. The pole in the front left is neat as well, and I really like the shading and highlighting on it. The walls of the ruined building there are beautifully done as well, love the deep shading and the cracks, the little broken supports and everything over near the window and door where everything is crumbling in is really cool, and the fire is so pretty and vibrant.
Then over on the right with the sea scene and the city. The harbor is awesome looking, and so is the city with the bright lights and the lightning and everything. I really really love how the blueish green hues over there contrast to the warm reds and darks over on the majority of the scene. Gives the whole thing a really awesome feel altogether.
There I go rambling forever I'llstopnow. This is just. Amazing. I am floored by how impressive this looks. Thanks so much for doing this for me, I love it!
