Whoa. This seriously is a full scene. Err, what I mean is that it's a complete scene that when you look at it, it's like a story is unfolding. The lighting, the character, just everything including the very perspective itself is horrific and adds to the foreboding atmosphere. I also love the quote from , and their character is AWESOME!!
And again for the artist.. YOU did just a fantastic job on this!
I have a newer monitor, color calibrated and such. My brightness is low as well. Although it's dark, there are lots of details below that point. :C I'm thinking some people's screens are more contrasted or don't pick up details like mine.
I tried covering up the DA background with my hands with my face really close to the screen and was pleasantly surprised to be able to see that he's wearing a cloth around his waist! I seriously could not see that before.... and it's red... it totally looked black I seriously think it's just the contrast of the dark colors against the DA layout ^^
I cant remember what kind of screen I have, but my computer is a Sony Vaio and seems to pick up pretty good color and brightness most of the time. I have no idea if it is calibrated right since I've never messed with that and I've only had it a year. But I can change the brightness on my screen. With that all the way up I can see a little bit of details in the bottom, but most of it is still a pretty solid black. But I'm not sure what parts should be/shouldnt be so maybe it is how it is supposed to be? I can see highlights on his fingers, a little on the water, and some on the tree trunks/roots but that's pretty much it... besides the shapes my brain is filling in. I think the brightness of DA's background is probably what is making it hard to see. If it filled up the screen more my eyes probably wouldnt be focusing more on what's around the picture instead of what's in it. If I put my face up to the screen so I am focusing on the pic, then I can see more.
