EDIT: This tutorial is outdated, I will be making a new tutorial when I have the chance.


Took a little longer than expected, but anywho, I hope this comes of use to you.

The actual picture of Zio is incomplete, this tutorial was on how I render my fur, and that's what I showed.

I tried this kind of art style a billion times, and I NEVER made it look good.
Your art is something more than all the other stuff I´ve seen - It is as detailed and stunning as a big acrylic or whatever "masterpiece" of the "great ones on dA", without being all overworked with details.

This is just perfect!

I really love how you do fur, I've always wanted to draw it traditional and your tutorial was really helpful in breaking it down ^^
Ah, the transparent background, I used select-colour range for that I think? Makes it easier to colour on the computer if I ever decide to aswell :P
