The Gate

The Gate is a Minotaur creature that manifests if a prisoner of the House attempts escape by thieving the Eclipse. It is on constant rampage and cannot be ordered; its purpose is to destroy the thief before they escape the House. Basically it's a decoy to slow or kill the prisoner. Because this is before Kurai has possession of the Eclipse, he does not have the brand/mark on his right shoulder.
