The final piece all put together into one image featuring Keabora(mother), Shiroko(son), and Jiu(father). Gao reminded me that this has been in the works since 11', so it feels great to step back and view it as a whole.
They came up with the amazing idea of meshing these three images and I'm glad to have had the honor of bringing their characters to life visually. Gao has treated me to snippets of their story and it sounds amazing. They're incredibly patient and gave me tips along the way creating each image. Without them it probably would not have ended up as satisfying. Thanks for being an awesome client, Gao!
Yeah, it was a fairly slow process, more because of me than anything haha. And I tried to keep things in line by comparing then and now to be sure there wasn't so much of a jump between styles. c:
i remember having seen the mother finished a while back which was one of the reasons as to why i followed your artwork. the image looks well balanced and characteristics in the clothing show that they all belong with each other. the two spheres of energy remind of the ying yang symbol which is another way to show the balance of the piece. one thing i really like is the seemless blend of the snow and the floor. that interaction is a nice touch. a job well done in my opinion.
Wow that long in the making?! Must have been hard to try and keep the style consistent as your techniques changed, as they do
Was it the middle one?
Anyway, have some tea after that feat. One lump or two?
XD
