About My Feonixes

Journal Entry: Thu Dec 20, 2012, 11:32 AM
To clarify now, these are my little critters (some of these examples are owned by other people)

Nosk by Tatchit  Royal Blue by Tatchit  Royal Feonix by Tatchit  Rest by Tatchit

In the past I've sold 'adoptables' of these guys.  I created designs and color patterns ect and sold them.  I've also done custom Feonixes where people have some freedom on what they want their design to look like.

I am going to be doing what I'm doing so if there are people out there that want one of my critters, they can.  But please be respectful of a few guidelines.  Feonixes are not 'sparkledogs' or have some chunk of hair on their heads and I'd like it to stay this way.

What does this mean?  Feonixes are an open species.  This means you can create one, put it in your story, draw it once and never draw it again, ectect.  The only thing I ask you to do after you create one is to credit me in some fashion.

Please do not make adoptables, variations, and designs to sell for your profit.  I am OK with people commissioning artists to draw their Feonix, but do not create Feonixes to sell. i.e. NO ADOPTS from anyone aside from myself.

:bulletgreen:They are MANX by default (no tail!  A feather tail would be okay), although I do create and make Feonixes with tails now.

EXCEPTION of the tail: If by some chance your Feonix mates with a tailed critter and they have young...I guess the offspring will be hybridized Feonixes that may have tails/may not/shorter tails ect.  Manx Feonixes have a heterozygous dominate trait (Mm)-similar to manx cats.  You can use a monohybrid cross chart if you want to get technical about it lol. There can also be blends of traits.  Example of a cross chart:…

Please note if your character is a Feonix hybrid, and not just a normal Feonix. I don't want people getting too confused on the tail deal.  I don't like them having tails but I won't really nag about it either.

obsolete information is slashed

:bulletgreen: Feathers, of course.  You can throw them where you like, just make it look natural and like it could work.  For example, Nosk is a very showy Feonix.  You can tell, no?  Think of fancy chickens and birds of paradise.  Try to incorporate some type of natural element in feather placement.  Not all Feonixes must have the long feathers, they can be shorter/patternized/few/many.  This choice is up to you.

:bulletgreen: NO hair on the head.  I:<  To me it makes things look goofy, and I can't take it seriously.

:bulletgreen: They can have assessories if you want.  Bangles/tribal stuff is super cool and I don't mind this at all.  You can get crazy if you want and have them wearing a scarf ect if it fits with your story line.  TBH I don't care what you do here.

:bulletgreen: Have fun and show me your Feonixes when you post them.

What happened to the exception of the tail thing? ( what happens when a creature with a tail breeds with a feonix?)

Okay, I get that you dont want people creating for profit but can they create there own for themselves?

Oh yes! Feonixes are free to create.  You can even commission other artists for your Feonix if you have ideas in mind and can't quite put it on paper.  I just don't want people making adoptable Feonixes.
